For those of you travelling by public transport; you will need to wear a face covering unless you have a medical reason not to. Take a look at the advice and guidance above on wearing a face covering. Do remember, you may need a face covering for travelling on the bus to college in September if advice from the government is still the same.
As well as completing some work at home that has been set by tutors; some of our students have completed some independent projects! This lovely piece of art work was created by one of our students, Emily Hislopp. Well done Emily!

Some of the students attending our Thursday workshop accessed socially distanced Zumba today with Hannah from the wellfit team. It was good to get moving and taking part in exercise all whilst having fun!

How long have I worked at Riverside College: Since around 2006 (a very long time!!) Likes: Storytime with my kids. Rainbow Cake Recipe As a celebration of pride month; have a go at creating a Rainbow cake! Please make sure you send pictures of your attempts to your personal tutor! Cake Ingredients • 360g self-raising flour • 360g butter (softened) • 360g caster sugar • 40ml milk • 6 medium eggs • 4tsp vanilla extract • Food colourings; red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet Icing Ingredients • 200g butter (softened) • 220g full-fat cream cheese • 700g icing sugar, sieved Baking tools • 3x 20cm cake tins • Greaseproof paper • 3 Mixing bowls • Whisk or electric whisk • Scales • Measuring jug • Cooling rack • Sieve • Teaspoon Method 1. Competition time! 🌊 You are encouraged to create a fact file about the ocean! Please use lots of colours and pictures. You could create your fact file on a specific ocean in the world or lots of different oceans, maybe creatures that live in the ocean or a specific creature. What about thinking about the importance of our oceans and what people could do to protect them! In addition have you ever visited the ocean? Do you have pictures in or by the ocean let's see them. Email them in to your personal tutors! Closing date for this competition is June 8th 2020. You can send them in before this date if you wish to.
